Pepper PARLOR in 渋谷

Pepper PARLOR in Shibuya

The other day, I had the opportunity to go to Pepper Parlour in Shibuya, a place I'd always wanted to try.

Pepper is the robot that is always present in SoftBank showrooms and other places.

This cafe is popular for its main customer service, serving food, and show duties.

When it first opened, it was so popular that it was too crowded and it was difficult to get a reservation.

Apparently it's relatively quiet on weekday evenings now, so my wish has come true.

The food is not "extremely delicious" as it is a light cafe,

Pepper filled the entire store and helped to spark conversation.

One Pepper on each table and five Peppers on stage.

Peppers are placed at the reception and cash register, and the store is full of Peppers.

The kids are so happy to play with Pepper,

Pepper is happy to help you with that,

Parents can spend time enjoying a leisurely meal...there are only good things about it.

When I go to a family restaurant with my kids, it's so noisy that I can't even eat properly.

I often finish my meal and leave within 30 minutes of entering the restaurant.

Pepper can solve that worry.

Shibuya was once a place where people in their 20s could be seen.

A place you go to even if you don't have any business there.

I wander around aimlessly, meet up with someone,

If no one catches you, feel free to go to a bar or club.

This continues until the early morning.

I felt like it was just the right place to ease my loneliness for the time being,

Shibuya has now become so overdeveloped that it's hard to tell what's going on.

But there are so many new shops now, I don't feel lonely at all even when I'm alone.

It's not just people who will talk to you, there are also robots (laughs).

When you experience the futuristic feel of Pepper Parlor,

It's not hard to understand why much of the world will be replaced by AI and other things.

But it also gives you hope that you might have a new experience.

I was reminded once again that Shibuya is truly an amazing place, both now and in the past.
