The other day I went to Nikko Toshogu Shrine for the first time.

The historical buildings I learned about in my social studies class when I was in elementary school were
Having lived in Hiroshima, I always thought of Nikko Toshogu Shrine as something that happened somewhere far away.
As an adult, I learned about repairing and maintaining buildings using books by the carpenters of Nikko Toshogu Shrine.
I became deeply interested in the story of the reconstruction,
I've always wanted to go there, but I never had the chance.
This time I was going on a family trip with my parents-in-law and was really looking forward to it.

Even though I went early, I was surprised to see a long line to get in.
There were so many people that I couldn't take my time to look around,
Pillars and stakes like those described in books,
I was moved by the sight of places that most people don't see.
Not only the building but also the area around Toshogu Shrine is surrounded by nature.
It is also moving to be able to see the good old original scenery of Japan.

The Shinkyo Bridge, located right next to Toshogu Shrine, was also filled with tourists.
Except for the surface of the river, the riverbed is a clear, beautiful blue.
The abundance of nature is simply awe-inspiring.

The place I wanted to visit most on this trip was Kegon Falls .
I was completely moved by the magnificent scenery.
When I was a child, I dreamed of becoming a period drama actor.
I've always wanted to go to Nikko Edomura .
Due to scheduling issues, that will likely be next time.
However, Nikko City has a rich natural environment and scenery that makes you want to visit again and again.
I'm looking forward to that day and will do my best.
oh yeah,
The Musha Gundam, which was sold exclusively at Nikko Toshogu Shrine and immediately sold out, has been resold.
I was really worried about whether to buy it or not,
I can't say this out loud, but my mother-in-law bought it for me without any hesitation.
It was a happy and embarrassing experience and became a fond memory.
I think I'll be able to spend New Year's Eve assembling Gundam (lol)
