歯は命

teeth are life

Although I'm not a celebrity, ordinary people also believe that teeth are life.
This is a phrase that became popular in a TV commercial about 25 years ago.
Back then, I almost never went to the dentist unless I had a cavity.
They say on TV that ``teeth are the lifeblood of celebrities.''
The general public rarely whitened their teeth.

I remember hearing on TV that Seiko Matsuda had her teeth all ceramic and it cost several million yen.
"It's amazing how rich people are. If you have that kind of money, you can buy this and that."
I remember thinking like that when I was a child.
However, as I grew older, I also realized the importance of teeth.

Since I work in sales for a long time, I have to dress appropriately.
Having your clothes and hair done is normal if you work in sales.
However, there are quite a few salespeople who are able to pay attention to even the smallest details.
Nails are long, skin is rough, smells like cigarettes, etc.
Surprisingly, some people are not able to do it.
Among them, salespeople who keep their teeth clean are truly rare.

When I was in my early 20s, I also smoked and had a rough diet.
Of course, since I never go to the dentist, my teeth were quite dirty with tar on them.
One day, when I looked at myself in the mirror, I thought, ``This is not good enough.''
I started going to the dentist, and although the tar was removed quickly, I still had a lot of cavities.
I went to treatment for almost a year and my cavities are completely gone.
If I hadn't gone at that time, things might have been even worse.

I learned from a book I read recently that periodontal disease can cause heart disease and internal organ disease.
I also got scared when I learned that it can cause stomach cancer.
I started going there when I was in my 20s, so it was probably still a good thing.
As people reach their 30s, the number of people suffering from various diseases increases.
Many people die young in their 40s.
I haven't had any major illnesses so far, but I don't feel safe.
No one knows when something will happen.
Regular physical condition management and care are essential.
I'm at that age.

Three months after moving to Fukuoka,
Today I was finally able to go for a dental checkup and felt refreshed.
It costs about 3,000 yen at most to have your mouth cleaned during a checkup.
All you have to do is bear the cost of one drink,
If you leave it alone, something terrible can happen.
Even if you look nice, if your body isn't healthy, it won't be fun at all.
In addition to a complete medical checkup, we also recommend a dental checkup, even once every two months.
Health comes first!

Hey, what were you talking about?
