The closing of "Odaiba Venus Fort" has been featured in the news for some time.
You might think that if you live in a rural area or have never been there, it wouldn't be on the news, but
This is quite sad news for people in their 30s and above who live in Kanto or have been there.
If you were to choose Tokyo's top 5 date spots, you'd probably find this famous commercial facility.
The inside looks like a European town, which you wouldn't imagine from the outside.
Each floor has its own expression,
Even if you go during the day, the inside of the facility is dark and magical.
There's nothing special about it, but it's a mysterious space that makes you want to stop by.
It's a place that has fond memories for both my husband and I.
My wife was working before moving to Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture,
Almost every day I go to Venus Fort to pick her up by motorcycle,
Sometimes on the way home, I go to Dex's Mexican buffet (already closed) where I can see the Rainbow Bridge.
I spend most of my free time going to old car exhibitions,
I was actually here during the Tohoku earthquake,
I happened to attend a talk show by a famous model.
Venus Fort has surprisingly many memories.
The big Ferris wheel, a symbol of Odaiba and a great memory, will also be demolished.
Some of the Ferris wheels there have clear acrylic floors.
Quite scary for someone like me who is afraid of heights (lol)
In this way, the places of our memories gradually disappear and new ones are created.
It's sad, but I think the world is slowly changing for the next generation.
People in their teens and 20s today,
and their children.
This means that we have reached the moment when the world will change into a better place for the younger generation.
I just hope that times will be better.
But I wish this Ferris wheel would remain.
