改めて「お店から時計を買う」ことを考える

Thinking again about “buying a watch from a store”

It took two months for maintenance.

I've written about it many times in previous blogs, but I'll say it again...

"Don't judge old watches just by price."

and

"Don't buy old watches from private sellers too easily."

I think most shops like ours that sell old watches maintain them before selling them.

Some stores sell some products without any maintenance.

I would like you to check with the store before purchasing.

A common story,

I believe that if a watch is maintained, the selling price will be higher than a watch that is not maintained.

I'll say it again, but this is "normal".

“How much does it sell at ○○, but how much is it cheaper at △△?”

I think that may be the deciding factor in buying it.

If ○○ store is doing proper maintenance, I recommend buying there.

because

This is because "maintenance of old watches is more difficult than people who buy them think." This includes some of the technical aspects of the craftsmen,

Rather than that, ``arranging parts'' is more important.

If it's only for viewing and not used regularly, wouldn't it be better if it was cheaper?

To be honest, I don't interfere in personal enjoyment.

But if you're going to buy it, it's better to use it, right?

We think so, so we carefully maintain all of our watches and display them in our stores.

Because we do maintenance, we can sell our products with a warranty.

Items purchased at our store will be repaired regardless of whether they are under warranty or not.

I won't keep selling it.

It took some time to arrange parts for the Omega that arrived this time.

There are many other watches like this,

This is the case even if you buy from a proper supplier.

Of course, not all watches are maintained by our suppliers.

I'm aware of this before purchasing, so I'm really looking forward to the time it takes for it to arrive in stores.

I think there are customers who like it even more and buy it.

It is natural to want to respond firmly.

If you judge only by price, our store is not cheap.

Of course, we have a shop and maintain clocks, so there are necessary costs.

That being said, I don't think the price is far off the market.

For stores that do not have a storefront

“We are selling our products at low prices because we are cutting store costs.”

I keep writing such slogans...

I don't know who anyone is,

If there were no shops, we wouldn't know the actual situation.

Would you like to buy a watch from such a place?

Also, the other day, a customer requested repairs.

“I bought a watch from a certain private sales site, is it genuine?”

Even if you ask me that, my shop doesn't do appraisals.

I really don't want it to cause trouble later,

All we do is respond to requests from our customers in a timely manner.

If I could just say one thing

"If you're worried, it's better to stop shopping at those places."

Depending on the watch, you may be able to easily repair it at home.

Depending on the brand or movement, it may not be possible to repair it,

If a huge repair fee is required,

Repair may not be possible in the first place.

But I don't think there's any way to know unless you ask the store directly.

There may be some people who will respond in detail through personal sales, but

Aren't most of them just selling?

In that case, the price you buy may be cheaper than buying it at a store.

However, the amount itself is probably not cheap.

Considering the maintenance costs...

In most cases, it's cheaper to buy at a store from the beginning.

This time, we are not saying, ``Please buy it at our store.''

I think watches are really fun items.

Rather than being a “fashion item” that goes out of fashion,

I think of it as a "style item" that allows you to express your individuality.

It is a universal item and is the best item that will stand the test of time.

There are so many things to worry about from the time you decide to buy to the time you get it.

And once you get it, you can't help but enjoy every day.

I just don't want people to buy it lightly because I think it's a really good product.

I'm not in a position to say anything because it's someone else's business, but

If you're going to buy something, isn't it better to have fun with it?

If you are thinking of buying a watch, please try to communicate with the store staff even a little.

I would really like it if you could get me the watch that I really want.

By the way, this is a watch I bought elsewhere (I don't know where I bought it).

There's a pretty good chance that there will be something.

I will never tell the person in question, so please make your own judgment.

Tomorrow is the third Sunday, so we will be closed.

We will be temporarily closed from Monday, October 29th to Sunday, November 3rd this month.

If you would like to order a watch or request repair, please contact us as soon as possible!
