Seiko Exciting Watch Class.

The other day I went to the "Seiko Exciting Watch Class" to confirm my knowledge and

It was the best birthday present for a child.

Birthdays are something children look forward to once a year.

As an adult, there is nothing more annoying than this day (lol),

For children, it is seen as a day when they can get whatever they want.

But ever since I was old enough to understand,

In our home, we have always encouraged our children to ask their grandparents for games and toys.

Every year, I try to give experiences instead of things.

Eat as much as you want at a restaurant your child wants to try.

Go to the movie you want to see and eat a giant popcorn while watching it...

Although I just eat, I suggest things that I can't usually do or can only do now.

This time it was a birthday present that was also practical.

This watchmaking class was held at the Seiko Museum Ginza .

Applications are on a first-come, first-served basis and conditions apply.

Luckily, I was able to apply on a date close to my child's birthday,

It seems that the spots fill up within a few days of the start of recruitment, and October slots are already full.

By the way, you can make a reservationhere if you are interested.

The activity involves children assembling a quartz clock.

The lecture is about 20 minutes and the practical part is about 80 minutes.

While listening to the basics, we were taught how to use the tools.

Now we'll actually assemble the clock parts.

The watch is a special item and is not for sale at the Seiko Museum.

The back cover is also engraved, giving it a special feel.

The assembly is simple enough that any adult could do it,

For children who are handling watch parts and tools for the first time,

Everyone was smiling brightly and it seemed like everything was exciting for them.

While listening to the humorous stories of the instructor, who is also a Seiko craftsman,

I still remember the look of excitement on their faces when the clock was assembled and started working.

This was a task I was asked to complete within 30 seconds.

It was very educational to have someone take the time to explain things to me.

I was having more fun than the kids (laughs).

At the end, children will be delighted to receive a commemorative watch that they worked on.

On the way home, we stopped at a cafe and saw her eating pancakes with gusto.

I felt like I had given a great present and also spent a wonderful time with my child.

I just eat a lot, but

It was a truly happy day.
