This time, we will be repairing a Grand Seiko quartz model that was requested by a customer acquaintance.
I asked another store to replace the battery and was told that it didn't work at all.
When I looked at the condition, it appeared that the tip of the inner cover had cut the coil.
Of course, replacing the battery won't work.
They told us that they couldn't do an overhaul, so they asked our shop to do it.
This is a quartz model from a while ago, so it uses the same machine as Credor.
So I was able to barely arrange the coil, so I managed to fix it.
If the inner cover shifts when closing the back cover,
The coil is often cut as described above.
If you are replacing the battery yourself, please be careful.
This time
Overhaul (including battery replacement) ¥16,500
Coil replacement ¥11,000
Total ¥27,500
Most watches can be repaired if the parts are available, but
Modern watches have very strict arrangements, perhaps to prevent parts from leaking.
Sometimes we use parts that cannot be replaced.
When buying a watch, the price is high, but the repair costs are also high...
I wonder if it's something,
It is important to consider these aspects when choosing a watch.
We sell the watches on the assumption that they can be repaired through normal use.
If you purchase from another store and are told that it cannot be repaired,
For example, the shop itself has disappeared and there is no place to consult.
If you have any trouble with repairs, please contact us first.
Maybe it can be fixed surprisingly easily...
