「未使用品」の基準

Criteria for “unused items”

Unused item does not mean new.

Unused Cartier Must Vendôme item that arrived the other day = dead stock.

At the time, when the case was shipped, two stickers were attached to the back cover, one with a transparent one and the other with a logo on it.

In fact, this is the fourth time I have purchased an unused Cartier item.

They've been in business for three years and only receive that much stock, so you can tell how rare unused items are.

This time, I will write about the "standards for unused items".

Old watches that are considered unused occasionally come out.

Regardless of the brand, it remains unused for years or even decades.

What's more, it's a miracle that it has survived to this day with all the traces of when it was shipped.

Well, on the other hand, it can be said that what didn't sell at the time was now appreciated.

I think it depends on how each person perceives it,

Personally, I don't dislike dramatic stories like this (lol)

So this time it's Cartier, but sometimes Omega, Seiko, even Rolex, etc.

Even popular brands appear occasionally,

The criteria for "unused" probably differs depending on the store.

At my store

・Shipping protection sticker or some kind of proof is attached.

・No traces of daily use

These two.

The first is an absolute condition, and the second is that if it has been tried on, we will conclude that it is unused.

Therefore, there may be some creases on the belt when worn,

You can easily see scratches from daily use and scratches from storage, so

"Unused" means unused and does not mean "new."

So, I hope you don't misunderstand me and think, "It's in excellent condition."

Vintage watches and antique watches are basically used watches.

I sometimes get asked, "Isn't it new?"

Furniture, old clothes, motorcycles, cars, and everything else are not new.

Although it is basically a used item, it is extremely rare to find such an "unused item".

Some stores may claim that their products are "new," but our standard is not "new."

Therefore, it is up to the store and the purchaser to decide how to judge.

But personally, it still has the shipping sticker and is clearly in good condition.

Moreover, considering that it comes with tags and the original belt of the time, like this time,

I don't think the content is bad at all.

Furthermore, watches are items that require maintenance.

If you are replacing the movement at Cartier like this one,

I would say the conditions are pretty good, or even the best.

As I always say, "Never judge a watch based on price alone."

The reason is that if it's new, it's fine, but with vintage watches, condition is everything.

Exterior condition, movement condition, maintenance status, etc.

Various factors come together to create what we can now see in our hands.

Furthermore, due to the nature of one-of-a-kind items, no two items are exactly the same.

That's why if you're really having trouble making a purchase, you should consult with the store staff until you're satisfied.

When an item like this one comes out, if you judge it only based on the price without knowing the contents...

It's a bit of a waste, isn't it?

As a shop, we are really confident in the content like this, so

Rather than worrying about the purchase, I want you to imagine yourself being happy and satisfied after purchasing it.

What if I was thinking of buying this watch but it was sold...

It'll be a dream come true (lol)
