歴史と人情の街「日本橋人形町」

Nihonbashi Ningyocho, a town full of history and humanity

This time as well, I stayed at my favorite Nihonbashi Ningyocho during my business trip to Tsukiji.

It has a deep history with the atmosphere of Edo.

And it is a castle town with many Edokko.

From the urban atmosphere of Ginza and Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store,

It is a downtown area with almost no tall buildings and a nostalgic atmosphere.

It is often said that there were many fires in Edo.

It has successfully recovered from tragic events such as the Great Kanto Earthquake and the Tokyo Air Raid, and continues to this day.

Is it because I know such Japanese history?

Every time I come to the Nihonbashi area, I feel deeply moved.

Speaking of deep emotions, the existence of the famous Ningyocho restaurant Tamahide is something special to me.

This famous restaurant is the birthplace of Oyakodon, which I first tried when I was in my early 20s.

I received a gift from a regular customer at the company I was working at at the time.

I still remember being blown away by how delicious it was.

Oyakodon is so simple that you can make it yourself, and I didn't even know there were specialty stores.

I think it was around 1,000 yen at the time.

I couldn't believe that just Oyakodon was such a high price.

But after eating it, I understand.

It's delicious anyway.

It's really just delicious,

Maybe it's because there are only two ingredients: chicken and egg.

Speaking of oyakodon, onions and green onions are likely to be included here.

For a reasonable amount of money, it seems like there are various ingredients included.

On the other hand, perhaps it is this simplicity that makes it so delicious.

The rice is a little hard, so it pairs perfectly with the ingredients.

It's a very popular store that usually has a line.

The store is currently undergoing renovations and is only offering takeout.

When I arrived at Ningyocho, it was just about to close, so

I'm really glad I was able to purchase it at the last minute.

There are so many famous stores in Tokyo,

Even so, many of them have been lost to the waves of the times.

The remaining famous shops are in Tokyo.

It is no exaggeration to say that it is Japan's history itself.

New things are coming out all the time,

I also want to cherish historical stores.

Next time I come to Ningyocho again, let's go buy some!
