but the cost of watch parts in this area has been increasing dramatically.
The Grand Seiko, commonly known as 45GS, has seen a rapid rise in popularity,
and its selling price has significantly increased in the past few years.
Following the Lord Marvel 36000, the 45GS was the first Grand Seiko to feature a hand-wound high-beat movement,
and its case design, known as the Seiko Style, garnered much attention.
Recently, the market price has been over 300,000 yen,
but looking back, I believe customers who purchased it from our store in the past got it at a very reasonable price.
That's why we strongly encourage you to cherish and maintain your watches through regular servicing.
For Cartier, Omega, and Seiko watches purchased from our store, the basic overhaul fee is 19,800 yen.
However, for certain brands and models, part costs have seen significant increases,
and for this 45GS, some part costs have more than doubled compared to before.
Especially since it's a high-beat movement,
the cost of parts can be quite substantial if the mainspring or barrel deteriorates or breaks.
Ideally, we would appreciate it if you could request an overhaul every three years,
but the reality is that many customers request it after the recommended overhaul period has passed.
Vintage watches, despite everything, working well is one of their charms,
but it also means that the deterioration of parts can be hard to notice, which is a drawback.
We kindly ask once again that you consider requesting repairs every three years.
