We were recently asked to repair a Porsche Design chronograph.
A customer brought it to our store because they had been told by another store that the spool had rusted and could not be removed, making it impossible to repair.

When the repair item arrived and I checked the condition,
The core and internal screws are rusted.
The chronograph lever was also quite rusty.
The push button is too hard to press.
I thought it might be possible to repair it this time, so I consulted with a craftsman.
They said they would try working on it first.
The movement is the Valjoux 7750, which is also used by Omega and Breitling.
It uses the most major movement,
I managed to get the internal parts sorted.
If the damage is severe, we will proceed with the work and repair it.
This time, the rust was severe, but the damage was not that bad.
This time
Overhaul ¥47,300
Internal rust removal ¥14,300
Refill core ¥8,800
Chronograph upper and lower lever replacement ¥17,600
Total: 88,000 yen
This watch is not particularly waterproof, so you need to be careful not only when using it around water, but also when it comes to humidity.
The humidity in the summer these days is very strong,
Due to the complex structure of the chronograph, we recommend that you schedule maintenance early.
We recommend maintenance every three years from now on.
I'm glad it was fixed this time too.
Now you can use it forever.
Thank you very much for using our store!
