The other day, we repaired a watch that was brought in by a customer.
This will be the second overhaul,
Last time, some parts were beyond repair.

This is Omega's basic automatic watch with date.
The machine uses Cal.565 with quick change function,
It is the same movement as the Constellation.
Since this is a machine that we handle often in our shop, we were confident that maintenance would be possible without any problems.
The structure is slightly different from the Constellation and other Seamasters.
It was actually a calendar board.
The calendar plate is thinner than commonly used ones, so if the cutting edge is worn,
No response during quick change.
There was no problem with sending the calendar here,
The cutting edge of the calendar plate is worn out.
If you were going to do a quick change, you needed to replace it.
The only saving grace was that the date could be adjusted by moving the hands.
However, even after searching through stock parts and material stores, there were no compatible parts, so we consulted with the customer.
It is fine if the date cannot be fast forwarded as long as it works properly.
This repair was carried out without replacing the calendar plate.
A few years later, the time lag began to become noticeable, so we had it overhauled again.
Once the accuracy was achieved, it was returned to the customer.
Now you can use it forever!
In the case of repairs brought in, such problems may occur,
Other stores may refuse to repair vintage watches that you bring in.
In our case, we will do our best to deal with the problem, and if there are any parts that cannot be repaired, we will consult with you.
We will work to find a compromise somewhere.
This watch is an exceptional case,
It was a good learning experience for us as well.
Thank you very much for using our store this time!
