We recently repaired a customer's watch that was entrusted to us.
This time, we performed a battery replacement.
This watch had a complete service performed by Cartier when we sold it.
Most current manufacturer repairs involve replacing the movement,
so for quartz models, a battery replacement is usually enough for the watch to function normally.
In addition to movement replacement, a benefit of manufacturer repairs
is the manufacturer's repair warranty. However,
the movement itself is often replaced with one that meets current standards,
so if the watch doesn't function normally after a battery replacement, it can be fixed with an overhaul.
Of course, depending on the condition and type of the movement, we may recommend a manufacturer repair again,
but in past cases, we haven't encountered any major problems with battery replacements so far.
Battery replacement for watches purchased from our store takes approximately 5 minutes.
If you visit our store, we prioritize the work to minimize your wait time,
and at the same time, we clean the bracelet and case.
If you request a battery replacement by mail, the work itself remains the same.
However, it's not good for either party if there's a problem immediately after returning the watch after the work is done,
so we will check its accuracy for a few days before returning the watch.
Currently, we have not received any requests from customers, but
if there is an accuracy issue after a battery replacement, we recommend an overhaul.
The basic overhaul fee is ¥19,800, and the work takes approximately 3 weeks.
For watches brought in for repair, the price may vary,
but we accept repairs for any watch that can be fixed.
