Recently, we received a watch repair request from a customer.
This time, in addition to the overhaul, we installed an authentic Cartier deployant clasp.
The Cartier Must de Cartier Tank is very popular at our store.
This particular watch came with an authentic pin buckle when purchased, but
the customer requested to switch to a deployant clasp.
Since we didn't have the part in stock, we started by searching for it.
The movement had no significant damage, so the overhaul was completed as usual.
The work took about three weeks, so
I really hoped to find the deployant clasp and deliver it to the customer within that time.
To my surprise, I found a deployant clasp in good condition in about a week, which was a huge relief.
I was a little surprised that the "law of attraction" actually happened,
and immediately reported the acquisition of the part to the customer.
Since authentic Cartier deployant clasps can only be attached to specific straps,
we recommended the CASSIS brand's "TYPE TNK", which we also carry.
For the Must de Cartier Tank, some strap modification is required,
but we do not charge for modification, only for the strap itself.
And all the work was successfully completed.
This time,
Overhaul: ¥19,800
Deployant clasp installation: ¥22,000
Strap replacement: ¥12,100
Total: ¥53,900
I was happy to fulfill the customer's request, and at the same time,
it reaffirmed that such requests indicate a "relationship of trust" with our customers.
This was the first time we received a request for a deployant clasp replacement,
but we try to accommodate such requests as much as possible.
