For non-water-resistant watches, you need to be careful of sweat, in addition to water and humidity.
However, watches with daily life water resistance have a certain level of waterproof performance,
and while care is needed to avoid direct water exposure,
humidity is actually the most important thing to be careful about.
Like magnetism, humidity is invisible.
However, during the rainy season or on humid summer days, the humidity is extremely high.
The recent high humidity makes it feel as if you are submerged in water,
so not wearing your watch on such days is one way to avoid the effects of humidity.
This time, the watch was affected by humidity, and the mechanical oil had dried up.
However, there was no major damage, and it started working normally after a standard overhaul, which was a relief.
Since the watch was used daily,
dirt had accumulated in the gaps of the case and bracelet, so we thoroughly cleaned the exterior.
Also, there was dirt on the gaskets, so we cleaned them thoroughly and applied grease.
During an overhaul, we meticulously check the interior,
and we also clean the exterior as much as possible before returning it.
Now it can be used for a long time again.
