We recently repaired a watch for a customer.
This time, we performed an overhaul due to water damage.
The customer accidentally immersed the watch in water,
and fortunately contacted our shop quickly.
We immediately had the watch shipped to us, and upon inspection of the interior,
we found signs of water ingress, so we performed an overhaul without delay.
Thanks to the customer's swift response, it didn't become a major repair,
and the work was completed with a standard overhaul. However,
if the watch had been left with water inside, a more extensive repair would have been expected.
Since water damage was the cause this time, it is a paid repair regardless of whether it's under warranty or not,
but we handled it thoroughly with the basic overhaul fee of ¥19,800,
so the watch can now be used for many more years.
When a wristwatch has a problem, it can incur enormous repair costs,
and depending on the type of watch, it may not be repairable.

the affection you have for a watch you spent time and money on will surely diminish.
