東京・お台場「国際美術展 TOKYO ATLAS」

Tokyo Odaiba “International Art Exhibition TOKYO ATLAS”

The “International Art Exhibition TOKYO ATLAS” is currently being held in Tokyo’s waterfront area.

It is also being held nearby in Odaiba and the Aomi area, where our office is located.

So, I took my child for a walk and visited Odaiba’s “Third Daiba Historical Park”.

There was an artistic sign at Odaiba Seaside Park.

It was a pleasantly sunny day, but despite it being morning, the sunlight was as intense as on a summer day.

As I made my way to the site, sweating…

While walking through Odaiba Seaside Park on my way to work, I thought, “Something white is floating,” and it turned out to be an artwork.

It was floating a little away from the shore,

so even up close, I couldn’t quite make out what it was—my eyesight has been getting worse lately, haha.

Reading the sign, it appeared to be a work by someone named Reiko Ikemura.

The main attraction in the Odaiba area is surely the work of the late “Yayoi Kusama”.

A crowd of people who had come to enjoy the “autumn of the arts” was lined up before the venue.

“The Garden of Narcissus” is displayed across the plaza inside the park,

and the huge red sphere is a work by China’s Jiao Yao.

It is a striking piece that creates an indescribable contrast.

It’s not on the scale of Shodoshima, but I’m simply grateful to be able to see such a work so close to home.

The event is apparently being held until Sunday, December 20, so it should be fun to visit the various locations.

Next, I’m going to the Aomi area!
