Gunma Prefecture, Tsumagoi Village, Onioshidashi Park

On the last day of my recent trip to Karuizawa, I wanted to do something that felt a bit more like summer vacation, so

I headed to “Onioshidashi Garden”, a tourist spot in Tsumagoi Village, Gunma Prefecture, a neighboring prefecture.

But before that, since it was summer vacation, I wanted to enjoy the rich nature of Karuizawa, so

I experienced seasonal blueberry picking and mountain fishing.

I could pick blueberries from the tree and eat them immediately,

and catch mountain fish and eat them fresh right away.

Because nature is so abundant, you can have wonderful experiences.

For lunch, I ate the surprisingly large catch of rainbow trout and then moved on to Onioshidashi Garden.

The lava flow formed by the eruption of Mt. Asama in the past

seems like the flip side of nature's bounty, but

nature encompasses both good and bad aspects for us.

I hope that the richness and awe of nature that can only be experienced during summer vacation

will become a valuable asset for children.
