意外と希少性の高い1969年製オメガ・コンステレーションデイト。

A surprisingly rare 1969 Omega Constellation Date.

The Omega Constellation Date that arrived today was designed by Gérald Genta.

It's a masterpiece that made history, launched around 1964.

It's commonly known as the "C-line" and its design influenced many watches that followed.

The Constellation series is one of Omega's top-tier models.

While various designs have been added over time,

looking back at watch history, this Constellation C-line made a strong impact,

and through repeated minor changes, it became one of Omega's longest-selling models.

Among the rich variations, this design is an early one.

It features an overall rounded case design, a plastic domed crystal, and

adopts the "Cal.564" movement, which includes a quick-set date function,

giving it a stronger vintage feel.

Many of these are stainless steel models or stainless steel cases with white gold bezels,

but this one is a rare 14k gold-filled piece.

Solid gold models were also available in the C-line, but due to their high price,

gold-filling was used to keep the retail price down,

making it a watch filled with very period-appropriate ingenuity.

The dial is a bark dial with a texture resembling tree bark.

It's a distinctive dial detail that changes its appearance depending on the light and viewing angle,

and it was a common finish found in high-end Swiss watches of that era.

The bracelet is also the original dedicated bracelet from that time,

and it remains in excellent condition with no significant gold peeling.

This bracelet is surprisingly rare, so

a piece that preserves such originality is extremely rare.

All-gold watches often give off a flashy impression,

but vintage watches lose their luster over time,

developing a beautiful patina that blends well with the skin.

The ability to see expressions not found in stainless steel watches is also a beauty of gold watches,

and they can even be said to "moisturize" the skin as one ages.

The Constellation C-line has a moderately compact size,

making it one of the watches that sits very well on the wrist.

Luxury watches can feel overpowering if they are too large,

so it's evident that this size and fit were truly well-calculated and designed.

This is the first time we've received a gold-filled Constellation in several years,

and recently, this watch has seen a sharp increase not only in price but also in popularity.

I believe many people are looking for this watch,

so this is definitely not one to miss!
