ネオヴィンテージを代表する名作カルティエ・パシャC35メリディアン。

The Cartier Pasha C35 Meridian, a masterpiece representing neo-vintage.

The "Cartier Pasha C35 Meridian" that arrived today is

a masterpiece that became a hot topic in the Pasha series for its GMT function.

It was a popular model, loved by women as well as men.

As a keyword in the current watch industry,

"neo-vintage" watches from around the 1990s are attracting increasing attention.

For example, Rolex watches with 5-digit reference numbers or

Omega Speedmaster Automatic series, etc.,

are nostalgic for our generation when we look back,

and new for the younger generation, becoming popular topics.

Among them, the Pasha series is undoubtedly the representative of neo-vintage for Cartier.

It not only gained popularity as Cartier's first waterproof watch,

but also led the boom of women wearing larger watches,

truly a classic among classics that took the world by storm.

Its rich variation in sizes and functions is also rare for Cartier,

and there are truly many models, even if you just say "Pasha."

Among them, the Meridian, equipped with a GMT function that simultaneously displays the local time and any current time,

was very popular not only among men but also women at the time,

due to its beautifully decorated dial and elegant design characteristic of Cartier.

As its name Meridian (meaning 'meridian') suggests,

the dial features a design resembling a globe and hands with cute dots,

a Cartier-esque design that breaks away from the image of many masculine GMT watches, catching the eye.

Furthermore, the design of the case and crown cover, which is a feature of the Pasha, is also distinctive,

with a soft impression that softens the rugged image of many sports models,

and a very unique contrast with the sharp design of the bracelet.

This particular piece is an early production model, with tritium lume on the hands and indices.

In later years, the lume was changed to Luminova,

so the tritium lume that has aged to a cream color further enhances the vintage feel.

Although there was more demand for Pasha from women than men at the time,

few women understood and used the Meridian's functions;

the majority simply bought it because they liked the design.

Therefore, I remember that explaining the GMT function didn't quite get through.

It is immediately clear that the strong design, more than the simple 3-hand model,

is the greatest charm of the Meridian.

While small-diameter watches have been trending recently,

I've noticed a gradual increase in people deliberately choosing to wear larger watches.

That being said, rather than oversized models with case diameters exceeding 40mm,

opportunities to choose practical sizes from 35mm to 38mm have increased,

leading me to reconfirm the appeal of the Pasha.

This time, in addition to the wonderful design and functions of the watch,

it's a neo-vintage piece using tritium lume.

It's a watch I'm personally quite interested in,

and opportunities to encounter early models are rare.

The price is also affordable, making it an undeniable choice.

There is no other watch as splendid in every aspect as this one,

so be sure to get it soon!
