We recently repaired a customer's watch as requested.
This time, the work was carried out as a regular overhaul.
This was Seiko's highest-grade model at the time, which became the foundation of Grand Seiko.
The carved dial of the Lord Marvel is highly praised both in Japan and overseas,
and we are seeing prices escalate year by year.
This watch is more than 60 years old since its manufacture,
and since the supply of parts has already ended, the price of parts has risen,
making it an even more valuable item.
Given this, regular maintenance is even more essential.
Since it has been running for over 60 years, there is a possibility that the parts are worn out,
and there are various other factors, such as the decreasing number of skilled craftsmen who can repair them.
At our company, we cooperate as much as possible to improve the skills of our craftsmen,
so we can repair domestic wristwatches from around the 1960s onwards,
but the number of existing parts is limited.
This watch can continue to be used with repairs in the future,
so we would appreciate it if you could request an overhaul within 3 years if possible.
