永遠の別れ。

Eternal farewell.

That day has finally come...
This watch is a Rolex Ref.1018 Oyster Perpetual.
One of the watches that Rolex brought to the North American market in the late 1950s.
In other words, unlike the regular model sold in Europe,
A rare watch with a slightly larger case diameter.

For me, this watch was in my top three Rolex watches.
An automatic Rolex with a slightly larger case diameter and no date.
If you exclude the sports model, this is the only Milgauss.
First of all, not many people have it, only those in the know know about it, and it's not easily available...
I was looking for one when I was about 25 years old, and once I got it, I sold it immediately due to lack of money.
It's been 10 years since I wanted to get it again.
I finally found this watch.
Moreover, it appeared in front of me with the strongest combination of dolphin hand and blue steel second hand.

Of course, there are many things I would like to use myself.
Nowadays, fewer people know about these watches,
We have always displayed them in our stores because we want our customers to see them, know about them, and touch them.
Rolex is not just a sports model,
In fact, I was confident in recommending watches like these that are truly interesting.

Of course, the price was reasonable.
If you sell a watch like this, you will probably never see it again in your life.
I know that very well, so deep down I don't want it to sell.
There are several such watches in stores,
For vintage shops like us, we don't want them to sell.
Or there are always items you don't want to sell.

You can't get that kind of thing at first glance.
Perhaps only some of the customers are willing to give it to them.
I purposely do not do this at my shop.
Because only people who understand these things will buy them.

That's what I thought, and then I married someone who knew.
I'm happy that it sold, but at the same time I feel sad that it sold.
However, in the name of "once in a lifetime,"
This is what makes vintage so interesting.
I'm sure it will be used with care by its new owner.

So I have to go look for new material,
First of all, we are closed tomorrow.
We hope to see you again from Wednesday! !
