モレラートの革ベルトを選ぶ理由

Why choose Morellato leather belts?

I'll talk passionately this time too. It's even longer (lol)
Probably most of the owners of shops that sell "vintage items" like old things.
And they must "hate new or current products."
Isn't it because it's "too commercial"?

Not only watches, vintage items such as used clothes, old cars, and interior decorations have a retro atmosphere that you don't find today.
And the coloring and texture have an aura that even amateurs can understand.
It is a unique thing that can be cultivated over years, years, and decades, and at the same time,
A "masterpiece" created with great care by all the craftsmen of the time.
Now that I've come this far, I can't even describe it in words.
If I had to say it, I would say it's a "feeling".

In recent years, we have come across words such as "vintage processing," "vintage taste," and "reproduction" on all kinds of items.
In terms of watches, the past few years have been a reprint festival.
However, they are not exactly the same, and what used to be a ``motif'' level has begun to pursue ``realism''.
The three watches from Company O that were sold last year determined this.
In my personal opinion, the more I think “That’s it after all!!”
The interpretation is that it would be good if it sold well while being advertised as limited edition.
I had some doubts about the so-called "new works" of the past few years.

Of course, this does not mean that new or current products are bad.
Brands and manufacturers must constantly create new things.
In a sense, this is like the brand's mission.
However, the main premise is that it will always "evolve".
However, is this "evolution" really what the world expects?

Also, speaking of watches, the materials are ``use of rare metals,'' ``cutting-edge processing technology,'' and ``innovative designs.''
Well, it may be a problem with the expressiveness of the writer, but
I can't help but feel like they're telling me at the end, ``I made this so you should pay a lot of money for it.''
Of course, it is natural to pay for what you want and what you want,
Why pay a large amount of money for unilateral imposition?
Well, what if the person who wants it buys it? It's a world.
By the way, do you know how much the current product cost is?
You'll be surprised to hear it. If you want to know, please visit the store (lol)

On the other hand, it is not a bad idea to say, ``Keep making good products forever.''
I'm always talking about watches, but the vintage watches we carry are current items from over 20 years ago.
At that time, there was no innovative technology like we have today, and it seems that mass production was at a standstill.
Even so, they inherited the high level of design and did not make any major minor changes to any of their watches.
This is also my personal opinion, but I think it's because "the design was complete".
Above all, the distribution of parts was solid, so even craftsmen other than the manufacturer could repair the parts.
I think this was a very important point.

I used to think it was great because everything could be "fixed", but
I feel that the availability of cheap products has pushed people to replace their products.
Of course, lower prices are never a bad thing, but
There is no way there is no sacrifice involved.
There was a story in the news a long time ago about factories in developing countries collapsing.
The idea that human life is a cheap sacrifice is putting the cart before the horse.
That's why I think everything should be "appropriate."

Now, getting back to the topic, why is it called vintage?
The answer is simple: "If you fix it, you can still use it."
And that there are still people who can fix it.
Whether a design is good or bad is a matter of personal preference.
If it can be fixed, I think it's fine to fix it and use it.
I think it's best to just buy a new one when it's no longer usable.
And if there's someone who can fix it, it's better to let them do the work.

The "vintage watches" we sell at our store are not cheap.
We sell products by considering all costs, including purchasing, repairs, store maintenance costs, and personnel costs.
We do not negotiate discounts with our business partners or craftsmen so that we can maintain a permanent relationship with them.
Since we also purchase at the other party's asking price, we cannot lower the selling price.
I think it's up to the store's skill to determine whether or not it's appropriate.
The ``store selling price'' was determined by considering all possible aspects.
This time I will speak passionately. It's long (lol)
Since the store first opened, we have only carried "Morellato" leather belts.
I have never written about the reason for this, so this is the first time I will touch on it.

The image of "watch x leather belt" is "old man smell"...
That's what I thought when I was young.
I didn't know much about watches, and there were times when I made judgments just by looking at them.
I only chose bracelet model watches.
As I got older and started to understand things little by little,
I realized the importance of choosing a watch that matches your outfit.

When I reached the age where I could no longer pull my pants down enough to show my underwear, I began to dress a little more neatly.
I notice how dirty the watch I always use is.
"I use the bracelet every day and have never washed it."
That's why the watch is dirty because of the accumulation of dirt.

Since it was a watch that could be replaced with a leather strap, I first put on a suitable leather strap.
This goes better with shirts, jackets, and other clothing than I expected.
Then, when I researched leather belts, I learned that there are many different manufacturers.
Until now, I thought leather belts only came in black or brown, but now they're not only colorful but also come in a variety of materials.
The price varies depending on the manufacturer, but it can be in the tens of thousands of yen.

Leather belts are consumables, so spending tens of thousands of yen is a bit of a waste.
Since there is technology to replace belts, I would like to have a variety of belts at a more reasonable price.
That's where I met "Morellato."
A variety of colorful belts typical of Italian manufacturers.
I have always thought that if I could open my own watch shop one day, I would like to handle it.

The best thing about Morerato is the reasonable price compared to the quality.
And the texture of the leather is extremely strong.
As a writer, I am extremely particular about leather.
Looking at the Morellato lineup, I realized that you can't get this kind of leather at this price anywhere else.
To be specific, there's nothing wrong with it, but the price is too reasonable for the quality.
In particular, the ``Manufatti series'' is masculine and well-made.
The more I looked at it, the more I fell in love with leather belts.

By the way, the reason why watch leather straps are so easily damaged is not because they are susceptible to sweat.
Because "I don't do any maintenance."
How many people take care of their watch leather straps like the bracelet mentioned earlier?
Considering the time and effort, would it be faster to just replace it? It would seem so.
However, most genuine straps for branded watches cost between tens of thousands of yen to nearly 100,000 yen.
You can buy a decent watch (lol)
Because they are expensive, they don't last long and will always need to be replaced.
At times like these, what if you could find a belt that is of good quality, reasonably priced, and comes in a wide variety of varieties?

I think there are many concerns about watches.
what to buy? Of course,
It's fun to choose a watch, including maintenance and strap after purchase.
But it always costs money.
I feel bad for the watch if I don't maintain it even though I've taken a lot of trouble to buy it.
That's one of the reasons why you can use the watch you choose for a long time.
"Choose a belt"
This is one of those items that you can never leave out.

If your watch strap is damaged or has a bad odor, we recommend replacing it as soon as possible.
The reason is that I want you to take good care of your watch.
Surprisingly, people look at watches as much as shoes.

Even if you're wearing nice clothes, if your watch strap is in tatters, you won't look good, right?
Appearance is important, but as an adult, it is also important to pay attention to details.
One of the suggestions we can make is to replace the leather belt with confidence.

If you have never replaced your belt with a leather belt or if the time has come to replace your belt, why not choose a Morerato belt?
