Reconfirmation of the contents of the perpetual warranty

This Must Tank, with a perpetual warranty, arrived today.

It comes with the special benefit of free Cartier complete service (movement replacement) indefinitely.
Such excellent service was only available for Cartier items from the early 80s,
and is unheard of from other brands.
This is great news!

Now, regarding the content of this perpetual warranty,
it doesn't cover everything without limits.
Naturally, if there are external factors, repairs will be charged.

For example, if someone says, "My watch broke when I threw it during a marital dispute, so honor the warranty,"
the manufacturer would be in a bind, right?
So, there are certain conditions for the perpetual warranty.
I will list the information conveyed so far,
so please use it as a reference for your purchase.

Cartier recommends disassembly and cleaning approximately once every 5 years.

If Cartier determines that an overhaul is necessary with normal use,

you will receive free complete service (movement replacement) indefinitely.
The cost of parts will be charged if parts replacement is necessary.

However, if the perpetual warranty card is not submitted,

if there are external factors such as water intrusion or impact,

if repairs were performed by a company other than Cartier,

or if complete service is requested by the customer, the normal fee will apply.

In the above cases,
except for the loss of the warranty card, if a charged repair is received once, the perpetual warranty service will continue,

and the same service will be available thereafter.

I don't think there's a right or wrong regarding whether a perpetual warranty is included or not,
but if you think it's necessary for you, I recommend purchasing it early.
Vintage items are all one-of-a-kind.
Once sold, it's often not available again,
so instead of deliberating whether to buy it, buy it first and then deliberate!
