Michel/マイケル

Michel/Michael

The most talked-about movie right now is probably "Michael", wouldn't you agree?

It's a biographical film depicting the life of Michael Jackson, the "King of Pop."

Watching the movie, the Michael Jackson I knew from my childhood was right there,

and after a while, I forgot it was a movie and had the illusion I was watching a documentary about Michael.

The reason the lead actor seems so much like Michael himself is that

Michael Jackson's nephew, "Jaafar Jackson", gives a passionate performance as Michael.

However,

even though he's his nephew, the resemblance is uncanny,

bringing back memories of Michael who once captivated the world.

Previously, a similar film, "Austin Butler" starring in "Elvis", was also excellent.

It was similar to how Austin Butler, who doesn't resemble Elvis Presley at all, started to look like Elvis himself within 10 minutes of the film.

I feel like recent biographical films are making different choices in casting their leads.

Even my child, who didn't experience the era firsthand, seemed to enjoy it.

In both films, if the real person were alive, they would surely say, "I thought it was me."

Next up, John Lennon, perhaps?
