The "Omega De Ville" that arrived today is an oval model characterized by a vintage-style case design.
This particular piece is a new old stock item, as close to unused as possible.

One of our criteria for new old stock is "no signs of daily use," and this piece goes beyond that.
It shows no signs of daily use, appearing to have only been tried on.
This piece was manufactured in 1979, so it is already over 45 years old.
However, there are barely any signs of trying it on, nor are there any storage scratches, so it has an exterior so clean it would not be an exaggeration to call it new.
It naturally still has the protective seals from when it was shipped, and while the strap has slight marks from being fastened during a try-on,
there is almost no scuffing or bending of the leather.
It's also impressive that it still comes with its original product tag from that time.

You can clearly see that the protective seal on the case back remains intact.
Not only the exterior, such as the case and strap, but also the dial and movement are in very clean condition,
showing no signs of damage.
Opportunities to see items in such excellent condition are rare,
and it goes without saying that you won't find another watch exactly like it.

Beyond the watch's condition, its design is also very appealing.
With a slightly voluminous case size combined with a dial featuring basic bar indexes,
it feels like it would be a perfect fit for any occasion.
It's a wonderful piece that, while certainly functional as a watch,
offers the incredibly romantic experience of being the first owner of an item several decades after its manufacture.
This is, of course, another completely one-of-a-kind item.
Vintage items are not only hard to find again, but there's also the possibility that once they're sold, you can no longer purchase them.
