A Cartier watch that was ordered the other day.
I left the battery dead and it's causing a lot of trouble.

A dead battery is highly likely to leak,
If left unattended, this can cause significant damage to the circuitry and other parts of the movement.
The terminals are rusted and about to break,
The screws on the plate that holds the circuit in place are completely rusted and cannot be removed.
Also, the plate for the spring on the dial side has rusted and the screws are stuck.
Luckily I was able to remove the dial, but the back of the dial was also discolored.
Obviously, if it gets to this point, it cannot be fixed by overhaul.
We will either arrange for a different machine or have it repaired by the manufacturer.
However, it seems that the price of Cartier manufacturer repairs has also increased since September 10th.
Probably a complete service for 50,000 yen,
If the dial, crown, etc. also need to be replaced, the repair cost will likely be over 100,000 yen.
In that case, if we repair the watch at our shop, we will use the dial etc. as it is if there is no damage.
It will involve arranging for machinery and overhauling it.
The repair cost will probably be around 40,000 yen.
However, this is only a guideline as it depends on the price of the movement.
In any case, the repair cost is not cheap.
The most important thing is to replace the battery as soon as possible when it dies.
And it is important to have it properly overhauled on a regular basis.
By doing so, you can prevent major repairs, so including repairs brought in,
